Security Forces Kill 17 Terrorists in Balochistan

Rawalpindi (GNP): Pakistani security forces have eliminated 17 militants affiliated with the Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Hindustan in a series of intelligence-based operations conducted across Balochistan in the aftermath of the May 24 train attack.

Following the train incident, security forces launched targeted operations across five districts, Mastung, Nushki, Zehri, Khuzdar, and Ketch. Troops engaged multiple militant hideouts during the operations, and after intense exchanges of fire, 17 terrorists were neutralised in what officials described as a significant blow to the extremist networks active in those areas.

Security personnel also recovered a substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, explosives, and pre-assembled improvised explosive devices from the slain militants, who were said to have been directly involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.

On the 28th anniversary of Youm-e-Takbeer, the country’s top military leadership extended congratulations to the Pakistani nation. Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu jointly conveyed their felicitations on behalf of Pakistan’s Armed Forces.

The occasion is widely regarded as a symbol of national unity, resilience, and the collective resolve to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Armed Forces reiterated their commitment to defending the nation against all threats and pledged continued dedication to ensuring the country’s security, stability, and long-term prosperity. The day served as an occasion for the nation to renew its pledge of unity, vigilance, and determination in building a stronger Pakistan.
