Lahore (GNP): Maaz Sadaqat Appendicitis Surgery 2026 has ruled the left-hand batter out of action for at least two weeks after he successfully underwent a Laparoscopic Appendectomy at a local hospital in Lahore on Sunday, June 7. The Pakistan Cricket Board officially confirmed the news, also announcing that Maaz has been ruled out of the ongoing final match of the ABS Developers National T20 Cup 2025 to 26 being played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Maaz had joined the Abbottabad squad as a replacement player for Fakhar Zaman and trained with the team on Saturday night. However, on Sunday morning he complained of severe pain in his lower abdominal area, which raised immediate concern among the team management and medical staff. He was quickly taken to a local hospital in Lahore for scans and a thorough medical examination.
After reviewing the results, doctors in consultation with the PCB’s medical team advised that immediate surgery was necessary to treat acute appendicitis. The Maaz Sadaqat Appendicitis Surgery 2026 took place the same day and was completed successfully. The PCB confirmed that Maaz is currently vitally and hemodynamically stable, with the board’s medical team closely monitoring his condition and taking full care of his recovery.
Impact on National Cricket Academy Camp
Maaz Sadaqat Appendicitis Surgery 2026 will also affect his participation in an important upcoming white ball camp at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. The camp is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 15, and Maaz was among 27 players originally named to attend. Given his surgery and the required recovery period, he will now join the camp at a later stage, only after he has fully recovered and received official clearance from the PCB’s Medical Panel.

The news is a setback for the young batter, who had been performing well at the highest level. Maaz recently opened the batting for Pakistan against Australia in the just concluded ODI series, showing his ability to handle pressure and perform in big matches. His recovery will be closely watched by both fans and team management, as Pakistan prepares for a busy season of cricket ahead.
The PCB has assured fans that everything is being done to support Maaz’s recovery and that he will return to the field as soon as he is fully fit and cleared by the medical team.
