Cupertino (GNP): Apple WWDC26 Siri AI 2026 was officially unveiled at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, where the company introduced its next generation of Apple Intelligence and a completely new version of Siri called Siri AI.
The announcements covered major updates across iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, visionOS 27, and tvOS 27, all set to arrive as free software updates this fall. This year’s WWDC was one of the most significant in Apple’s history, with changes that will affect how hundreds of millions of people use their devices every day.
Craig Federighi, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, said the company is delivering its most advanced software yet, with a smarter Siri, stronger child safety tools, and platforms that are faster and more enjoyable to use than ever before.
Apple WWDC26 Siri AI 2026 introduces Siri as a deeply connected assistant built into iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro. The new Siri can search across a user’s messages, emails, photos, and apps using personal context. It can answer questions about what is currently on the screen or go online to find up to date information and give a helpful answer.
A dedicated Siri app lets users start new conversations or go back to old ones, with all conversation history synced privately across devices through iCloud.
Beyond Siri, Apple Intelligence powers exciting new features across apps. In Photos, a new Spatial Reframing tool lets users fix the composition of a photo after it has been taken. Image Playground now creates high quality photorealistic images. In Messages and Mail, smart suggestions help users reply and stay organized more quickly and easily.

New Parental Controls Give Families More Safety and Control
Apple WWDC26 Siri AI 2026 also brought one of the biggest updates to parental controls Apple has ever released. Parents can now set up a child account that turns on age-appropriate protections across the whole system right away. A new Setup Assistant lets parents pick exactly which apps their children can use and decide what gets added later.
New communication safety features let parents approve every new contact their child connects with. If any explicit or violent content is shared, the system steps in automatically. Screen Time has been fully redesigned so parents can see their child’s usage and top apps at a glance. Time Allowances let parents set daily limits for Entertainment, Games, and Social Media apps, with recommendations from child development experts to help them get started.
Faster Performance and Design Updates Across All Devices
Apple WWDC26 Siri AI 2026 updates bring major speed improvements across all Apple devices. iPhone and iPad apps now launch up to 30 percent faster, photos load up to 70 percent faster after being taken, and AirDrop transfers are up to 80 percent faster. Transferring files between an external drive and iPad is now up to five times faster, matching the speed of Finder on Mac.
On the design side, a new Liquid Glass slider in Settings lets users personalise how their interface looks, from fully clear to fully tinted. App icons have been updated to look sharper. On Mac, the toolbar, sidebars, and coloured icons have all been refreshed to bring back the classic macOS feel that users love.
All new features are available for developer testing today, with a public beta coming next month and a full release expected this fall.
