Gabd Rimdan Border LPG Trade 2026 Remains Uninterrupted

The Collectorate recently introduced a series of measures to improve import clearance procedures and strengthen compliance controls. These steps were taken to address cases of mis declaration, concealment, and pilferage detected in certain categories of imported goods. Under the new process, traders are required to follow legal procedures under the Customs Rules 2001, including filing of import manifest, gate entry, weighment, scanning, and submission of a Goods Declaration before moving consignments to private storage.

Revenue Collection Improves as Trade Continues Normally

Gabd Rimdan Border LPG Trade 2026 operations have actually improved revenue collection significantly. During April to June 2026, customs collected revenue of Rs. 12,071 million against 8,245 Goods Declarations, compared to Rs. 7,861 million against 6,909 Goods Declarations during the same period last year. This increase shows that legitimate trade is growing while mis declaration and revenue leakage are being reduced.

The new procedures were introduced after detailed consultations with the Quetta and Gwadar Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and traders were given a full month to adjust to the new requirements. Essential commodities including LPG and Bitumen are being cleared through the Green Channel, an expedited clearance system that ensures these goods move without delay.

Customs also clarified that a small number of traders dealing in iron and steel products refused to follow the required clearance procedures.

Around 65 consignments from Iran were abandoned by traders after entering Pakistan. Following consultation with Iranian Customs, these consignments were allowed to return to Iran to avoid congestion at the border.

Customs made clear that it remains fully committed to facilitating lawful trade and ensuring quick clearance of legitimate consignments. The movement of essential commodities, particularly LPG, continues without any disruption at the Gabd Rimdan border crossing.
