Sydney, November 8, 2022 (GNP): On a highly unpredictable last day of Super 12 play on Sunday, India and Pakistan finally reached the semifinal. If both neighboring countries’ teams win in the semifinal matches, they might be on course to face off in the T20 World Cup final.
India and England square off in Adelaide on Thursday. Pakistan, meanwhile, must defeat New Zealand at the SCG on Wednesday in order to advance to the final of the T20 World Cup.
On Sunday, there were three main matches in Group B: Netherlands vs. South Africa, Pakistan vs. Bangladesh, and India vs. Zimbabwe. Surprisingly, the victory of the Netherlands over South Africa created the chance for Pakistan to reach the semifinals with the condition of beating Bangladesh.
Despite fewer expectations for Pakistan to reach the semifinals, many fans and sports analysts believe that Pakistan can confront India in the final.
On November 6, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by five wickets on Sunday, advancing to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 semifinal.
After South Africa lost to the Netherlands in the opening match of Sunday’s tripleheader, the two teams had been vying for a spot in the semifinals in a virtual knockout game.

Shane Watson, a former Australian cricketer, stated that everyone would love to see Pakistan and India in the final of the World Cup. The last time Pakistan and India played each other in the final was in the T20 World Cup of 2007.
Both teams confronted each other in the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 on Sunday, October 23, where India won by four wickets and with 0 balls remaining.
