Uzbek Deputy Foreign Minister bid farewell to Iranian ambassador

Both sides discussed areas of bilateral cooperation and expressed optimism for future partnership, reaffirming their commitment to peace and stability.

Tashkent, 1 September, 2023(GNP): Uzbek deputy foreign minister Bakhtiyor Saidov bid farewell to Iranian Ambassador Hamid Nayerabadi, who has completed his four-year tenure in Uzbekistan.

The farewell meeting took place on Friday, in Tashkent. The meeting was attended by Uzbek Deputy Foreign Minister and other officials from the Uzbek Foreign Ministry.

The farewell gathering highlighted the longstanding historical links and mutual respect between Iran and Uzbekistan.

The two sides discussed the bilateral cooperation between Iran and Uzbekistan. They also discussed regional and international matters. They also exchanged views on the situation of Afghanistan.
