Nepali ambassador presents credentials to President Erdogan

Ankara, 26 April, 2024 (GNP): Today, Tapas Adhikaripresented the Letters of Credence to  Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of the Republic of Türkiye, as non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Republic of Türkiye, amidst a special ceremony held at the President Palace in Ankara.

During the programme, he conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of  President Ram Chandra Poudel, and the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ as well as from the people of Nepal for the personal health and happiness of the President of the Republic of Türkiye and for the continued progress and prosperity of friendly people of Türkiye.

The President of the Republic of Türkiye welcomed and congratulated him as ambassador of Nepal to Türkiye.

The President asked him to convey his greetings and best wishes to the President of Nepal, the Prime Minister of Nepal and people of Nepal for their continued progress and prosperity.

The newly appointed ambassador also shared the statues of bilateral relationship between Nepal and Türkiye that are based on mutual trust and cooperation, and have always been friendly.

He further noted that Nepal and Türkiye were working together in the United Nations and other important international forums on various issues of common interests.

Ambassador also assured that he will make sincere efforts to further enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.

Senior government officials of the President office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye were also present during the ceremony.

Upon the arrival at the Palace, national anthem of Nepal and Turkey were played, and a guard of honour was presented.

The Embassy of Nepal in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Islamabad is concurrently accredited to the Republic of Türkiye.
