Islamabad (GNP): The Radio Jockey and Broadcasting Internship Training Program 2026 is underway at Radio Pakistan under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, providing young people with opportunities to develop skills in broadcasting and communication.
The initiative is aimed at nurturing young talent and giving participants practical exposure to professional media and broadcasting environments.
As part of the program, participating interns visited the Digital Communication Department, where they held a detailed meeting and learned about aspects of digital communication.
The training program reflects the growing importance of communication skills in an increasingly digital media environment.
Young people entering broadcasting and journalism today are required to understand not only traditional radio and presentation techniques but also digital platforms, audience engagement and modern communication practices.
During their visit to the Digital Communication Department, the interns were introduced to the department’s work and engaged in discussions related to communication and media.
The interaction provided an opportunity for participants to gain a broader understanding of how information is developed and communicated through contemporary digital channels.
The program also emphasizes confidence-building and professional development. Practical exposure can help young participants better understand the expectations of the media industry while allowing them to develop communication, presentation and teamwork skills.
The initiative comes at a time when young people are increasingly exploring careers across traditional broadcasting, digital journalism, social media and online content production.

Training programs that combine learning with practical exposure can help participants understand the changing requirements of the communications sector.
The message shared by Information Minister Attaullah Tarar emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for young people to advance their skills.
He described the participants’ confidence and dedication to learning as encouraging and highlighted the responsibility of providing young people with opportunities for professional development.
The program also reflects the continuing role of Radio Pakistan in training and developing future broadcasting talent. By exposing young participants to professional communication environments, the initiative seeks to help them build a foundation for future careers.
For the interns, the experience provides an opportunity to move beyond classroom learning and gain practical insight into broadcasting and digital communication. Such exposure can help young people identify their interests, strengthen their professional abilities and better understand potential career paths within the media sector.
The development of young communication professionals is particularly relevant as Pakistan’s media landscape continues to evolve.
Traditional radio and broadcasting now operate alongside websites, social media platforms, digital video and other forms of online communication.
The Radio Jockey and Broadcasting Internship Training Program 2026 therefore provides participants with an opportunity to engage with both broadcasting and contemporary communication practices.
As the training continues, the program aims to contribute to the development of young people who can become capable and credible voices in Pakistan’s evolving media and communications landscape.
