Pakistan-China Military Relations
The military and economic ties between China and Pakistan, two adjacent countries, are strong and tight.

Recent ongoing military programmes and agreements at all levels have enhanced and deepened the military and strategic ties between the two governments.

China has supported Pakistan by creating ammunition factories, offering technical support, and updating existing facilities in Pakistan after the growth of relations between the two countries.

China, Pakistan, and their three armed services have worked together to improve military and armament systems. They collaborated on the creation of Pakistan Naval Ships, Airborne Early Warning & Control Systems, Al-Khalid tanks, and JF-17 aircraft.

One of China’s largest arms transactions in history occurred in 2015 when Pakistan and China agreed to a $5 billion deal for the purchase of eight conventional submarines.

Additionally, the two nations engage in various military drills. A joint maritime exercise called Sea Guardian 2 was conducted in July 2022 by the navies of China and Pakistan.
