Riyadh (GNP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Saudi Arabia to attend the Second Joint Arab Islamic Summit in Riyadh to discuss the current situation in the Middle East.
The summit is an initiative of the government of Saudi Arabia to discuss the current situation in the Middle East, particularly Gaza and Palestine. The leaders and senior officials from the Arab League and the OIC member countries are expected to participate.
In addition to the summit, Prime Minister Shehbaz planned to hold bilateral meetings with world leaders.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that he will “discuss the rapidly deteriorating situation in Gaza” at the Joint Arab Islamic Summit. He further said that he will “speak with one voice for the rights of the Palestinian people and reaffirm our collective call for regional peace!”

Moreover, PM Shehbaz met with Saudi Investment Minister Engr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih and Advisor Royal Court Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri.

During their meeting, they discussed the “follow-up on the recent engagements for economic cooperation between the two countries’ support for Vision 2023.” They further discussed the “opportunities for Pakistani skilled manpower in Saudi Arabia.”
The PM expressed his appreciation for the “progress on major projects” under discussion. He also “acknowledged the efforts of the technical teams for their close cooperation to further strengthen economic partnership in diverse fields.”

Lastly, PM Shehbaz extended his best wishes for the “leadership of Saudi Arabia” and welcomed the “Saudi investment” in Pakistan.
