Riyadh (GNP): Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar attended the Council for Foreign Ministers (CFM) for the Arab and Islamic Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 10 November 2024.
Ishaq Dar discussed the Israel-Palestine conflict and condemned Israel’s war crimes. He expressed his concerns that “after more than a year this situation has worsened even before.”
He said that the Israeli occupying forces continued to commit “crimes against humanity and the people of Palestine.”

Ishaq Dar further stated that since the last year, “the brutalization of Palestinians by Israeli occupying forces has increased.” He even mentioned the death tolls of the innocent Palestinians which have increased.
Moreover, he highlighted the International humanitarian access to Palestinians by stating that it has been “restricted” according to the Commissioner General of UNRWA.
Additionally, Ishaq Dar highlighted that the conflict has “expanded toward Lebanon, Syria, and Iran. Therefore, he expressed his concern that it is “alarming that Israeli adventurism in the Middle East is endangering peace and security in the region.”
Deputy PM Dar states, Pakistan’s stance in this conflict. He states, “Pakistan strongly condemns Israel’s military strikes against these brotherly countries” which are a “blatant violation of the UN Charter and International Law.”

Moreover, Ishaq Dar pointed out that the “mere condemnation of Israeli actions will not be enough.” Therefore, he urged “ to act now to fulfill our moral and legal duty to stand with people of Palestine for their rights and demands.”
He called for the “international community to end the Gaza genocide and provide humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians.”
He then commended the OIC and the Arab League for their “unwavering dedication to the Palestinian cause.”

During this visit to Riyadh, Ishaq Dar Riyadh met the FM of Turkiye Hakan Fidan. He mentioned the discussion points which were the “Pakistan-Turkiye bilateral relations and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.”
Ishaq Dar further pointed out that they both agreed that the “international community must work together to bring an end to Israeli onslaught against the innocent Palestinian people.”
