Zakovat SCO Cup held at UWED
Tashkent, 26 November 2022 (GNP): On November 26, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted the Zakovat “SCO Cup.” There was an intellectual battle in the tournament.
Future professionals in political science, economics, law, oriental studies, diplomacy, teaching, ICT, business, journalism, and other disciplines took part in the Zakovat “SCO Cup.”
One in five of the more than three billion people in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) zone are under 25, which is essential to highlight.
This is a significant driving factor behind the growth of the Organization’s intellectual potential for raising the standard of living for citizens in their countries.
In this spirit, SCO prioritizes youth issues and sees them as one of the key components of steady growth.
A society where all kids will have the opportunity to identify their potential and where their capacity to contribute to the growth and creation of their nations’ futures will be recognized has been deemed vital by SCO Member Countries.
Ahead of the resolution of the head of state endorsed in January 2022 and the Program of Measures to transform the game “Zakovat” (Intelligence), held since 2001, into a mass-educational movement, issues of enhancing and developing the intellectual potential of Uzbek youth have also gained significant traction.
Additionally, systematic work is being done nationwide to improve logical understanding and include young people in intellectual activities.
For their high-level implementation in Uzbek educational institutions, state assistance is being offered, and all essential criteria are being developed.
Odil Yusupdjanov, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy’s (UWED) First Vice-rector for Youth Affairs, assert that many young people nowadays set an example for their peers by actively participating in efforts to transform society via original ideas and initiatives.
In accordance with this, UWED students have triumphed and been awarded awards in a variety of competitive occasions in Uzbekistan and worldwide.
Regularly holding such events encourages healthy competition among students while also providing a common arena for the contact between those enrolled in higher education.
It also serves as a catalyst for advancing knowledge and enlarging perspectives on a global scale. Contextually, the SCO summit’s Samarkand Declaration placed emphasis on the value of fostering youth collaboration.
Speaking at the game’s opening ceremony, Kabuljon Sabirov, the Director of the SCO Center for Diplomacy in Uzbekistan, stated that this collaboration would be founded on the execution of the corporate call of the leaders of the SCO member states to youth.
The Action Program launched by the leader of Uzbekistan will also be a part of it. It was underlined how important it is to have startup forums, competitions, and intellectual game tournaments for young people.
The event provided the students with useful practice, deepened their comprehension of the SCO, and inspired them to learn more about this political organization and its broad range of activities.
Honorable mention awards went to the top participants who came in second and third in the competition. Each competitor earned a certificate for the competition, and the victorious team was awarded the “SCO Zakovat Cup 2022.”
This event, which was supported by the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan, is expected to take place yearly in the future at the UWED.
