Islamabad (GNP): President Asif Ali Zardari has arrived in Cholpon Ata, Kyrgyzstan, for a historic four-day state visit that aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.
The visit, which began on July 6, marks the first trip by a Pakistani president to Kyrgyzstan in more than two decades and reflects the growing partnership between the two countries.President Zardari is visiting at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, with both leaders expected to hold extensive discussions on enhancing collaboration in trade, energy, investment, agriculture, healthcare, tourism, and other key areas of mutual interest.
The visit is seen as an important step toward deepening economic and diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan.Upon his arrival, President Zardari and President Japarov toured the renowned Rukh Ordo Cultural Center in Cholpon-Ata.
The leaders were introduced to the cultural and historical heritage of Kyrgyzstan and enjoyed traditional folk performances that highlighted the country’s rich artistic traditions.The visit also featured a formal banquet hosted in honor of the Pakistani president. Cultural performances and musical tributes celebrating Pakistan reflected the warm relations and mutual respect shared by the two nations.
