Astana, 7 September, 2023(GNP): Presidents of Kazakhstan and Albania held extended talks on Thursday in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Discussion included key issues of the Kazakh-Albanian partnership, with a particular focus on enhancing trade, economic collaboration, logistics, investments, and humanitarian relations.
President Bajram Begaj’s visit to Kazakhstan marked a historic occasion as it was the first-ever visit by an Albanian President to Kazakhstan- the reason why this visit was of significant importance in advancing mutual cooperation.
President of Kazakhstan expressed his gratitude to his Albanian counterpart for accepting the invitation and expressed a strong interest in strengthening Kazakhstan-Albania relations.
In acknowledgment, the President of Albania conveyed his appreciation to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the invitation and, the warm hospitality extended during his visit.

The talks covered various areas, including politics, economics, trade, investment, culture, and humanitarian efforts. The two leaders discussed the current circumstances and shared concerns regarding Central Asia, the Balkans, the Middle East, and other regions of mutual interest.
Both sides discussed opportunities for deeper collaboration within international and regional organizations, including the United Nations, OSCE, Turkic Council, and Central European Initiative.
President of Kazakhstan also highlighted the need for establishing direct air communication between Astana and Tirana.

President Bajram Begaj expressed a strong appreciation for the current state of bilateral cooperation. “We hope that our interaction will continue in line with our common goals of expanding relations between Albania and Kazakhstan”, he further said.
The discussions took place in a friendly and productive atmosphere, reflecting the mutual interest and respect between the two countries.
