Rawalpindi, 26 Aug, 2023 (GNP): The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir stated on Friday that Pakistan is serving as a ‘bulwark’ against terrorism, and for this, the international community should appreciate the country as it had given a huge sacrifice, according to an official statement by the military.
The army chief made these remarks at an interactional session with a group comprising 38 students who came from Harvard University, originating from 9 different countries.

As per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the students from the US university met with the COAS at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi in the course of their visit to Pakistan.
During the session, General Munir commented on the problems regarding regional security and the Pakistan Army’s efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
Meanwhile, the army chief emphasized the rich potential of Pakistan and recommended the students to perceive the country according to their experiences during their visit here.

Moreover, he highlighted that the country is acting like a bulwark to fight against terrorism and the international community should admit the vast sacrifices given by Pakistan.
Furthermore, General Munir underscored the human misery, abuse, and cruelty being carried out in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIJOK) and attempted to alter the demographic facts.
Additionally, the visiting students showed gratitude towards the army chief for giving them an excellent opportunity for a productive interaction.
