Rawalpindi, 21 April 2023 (GNP): According to the official announcement of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday Mickey Arthur is appointed as the director of the Pakistan men’s cricket team.
Mickey Arthur’s responsibilities in this position include developing, implementing, and supervising the tactics used by the Pakistan men’s squad.
The 54-year-old will also serve as a member of the coaching staff for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, as well as for the home series against the West Indies and the away tour to Australia. In addition, he will be there with the team when Pakistan plays India in the ACC Asia Cup.
Moreover, From 2016 to 2019, Arthur led Pakistan to the No. 1 spot in Tests and T20 Internationals. He also assisted the team in winning the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.

“I am glad that Mickey Aurther has officially rejoined the Pakistan men’s cricket team with an enlarged role in which he will be responsible for developing and putting into effective strategies for the impending assignments across all forms.”
Further, he said, “In order to increase our bench strength and strategically safeguard our future, he will also be in charge of fostering the national team’s culture and spotting and developing potential stars”.
“Mickey is familiar with the present players, the structure, and the system because he previously lived and worked in Pakistan. He will undoubtedly apply the lessons he learned from his first term to have an even more productive second one”.
Mickey Arthur:

“Since then, I have kept tabs on the players’ individual and team performances. This group of people is talented and has the potential to dominate all of the competition.
