Notably, Justice Baqar earned acclaim for his fearless stance against terrorism. A terrorist group targeted him due to his strong anti-terrorism verdicts. His resilience and dedication were evident when he returned to work after recovering from a targeted attack.

Born on 5 April, 1957, Justice (retd) Baqar embarked on his legal journey by becoming an advocate in May 1981, after completing his LLB from the University of Karachi. His dedication led to his appointment as an additional judge of the Sindh High Court on 26 August, 2002.

Throughout his tenure, his judgments against terrorist activities drew fire from such groups, resulting in an unfortunate attack in June 2013. Despite the injuries that he sustained, he underwent rehabilitative surgery and promptly returned to work.
