Peshawar,21 November, 2023(GNP): The JUI-F’s central general council, in its Monday meeting, resolved to actively partake in the upcoming 2024 general elections. It instructed district organizations to submit final candidate recommendations for National and Provincial Assembly constituencies by the 27th of the current month.
Under the leadership of Central Ameer JUI-F, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the two-day meeting of the Central General Council concluded at Mufti Mahmood Markaz.
During the meeting, Maulana Fazalur Rehman was elected as the central Ameer, and Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri was chosen as the general secretary of JUI-F for another five-year term.
Additionally, the meeting granted authority to district chapters to negotiate seat adjustments with other political parties in consultation with office bearers.

In the meeting, Maulana Fazalur Rehman provided a briefing on his meetings during the visit to Qatar. The provincial organizations of the party presented reports based on performance and the political situation, receiving satisfaction from the central general council.
The meeting expressed deep concern over Israel’s atrocities against innocent Palestinians, including daily bombardments on hospitals, schools, and civilian populations.
It announced the observance of the upcoming Friday (November 24) as Solidarity Day with Palestinians. Additionally, the decision was made to organize solidarity rallies with Palestine in district headquarters across the country.
In his address to the concluding session, Central Ameer JUI-F, Maulana Fazalur Rehman, affirmed the party’s participation in the general elections, notwithstanding specific reservations.
