David Crosby passes away at 81

David Crosby was one of the most influential and famous rock singers of the 1960s and '70s with the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (CSNY).

Los Angeles, 20 January 2023 (GNP): David Crosby, an American singer, guitarist, songwriter and founding member of both the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash, passed away from a prolonged illness at the age of 81 on 18 January 2023, Wednesday.

The singer’s wife, Jan Dance, confirmed in a statement to news channels: “It is with great sadness after a long illness, that our beloved David (Croz) Crosby has passed away. His legacy will continue to live on through his legendary music.”

David Crosby was born on 15 August 1941 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He joined the Byrds in 1964 and produced five albums with the band. Afterward, he formed Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1968 with Stephen Stills and Graham Nash producing music with the band. His last title track was released in 2016, titled ‘The Us Below.’
