Islamabad, 1 March 2023 (GNP): Professor Ahsan Iqbal, the Federal Minister for planning, development, and reforms, emphasized on Tuesday the need to adjust agricultural production to new opportunities and potential dangers in addition to employing seeds resistant to climate change to improve output.
Speaking at the Agricultural Investment Symposium, he asserted that the private sector must actively participate in the export sector.

He also said that the government would work with the business sector to investigate the massive investment prospects in the livestock, flower, and date industries.
Given that Pakistan is an agricultural nation, Ahsan Iqbal recommended everyone involved in the agricultural sector, institutions, and private investors to embrace sustainable agriculture techniques and possess the capability of exporting agricultural goods. The minister exhorted business leaders to work diligently to boost agricultural exports.

In 2014–15, the government took action to strengthen the economic system. In 2018, Pakistan has enough cotton, sugar, and wheat to meet its own needs.
