Terrorist ambush claim lives of 14 soldiers in Gwadar

Gwadar, 4 November, 2023 (GNP): In a tragic incident, 14 soldiers of Pakistan Army lost their lives in a terrorist ambush that targeted two security forces vehicles. The ambush took place in Balochistan’s Gwadar district, reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan’s military media affairs wing.

ISPR confirmed that the attack occurred as the vehicles were en route from Pasni to Ormara. It also expressed deep sorrow and condolences for the soldiers who embraced martyrdom in this unfortunate event.

In response to the tragic accident a comprehensive sanitization operation is currently underway in the affected area. The ISPR, reiterating the unwavering commitment of Pakistan’s security forces, vowed to pursue the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

The Interim Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwaarul Haq Kakar, condemned the attack and conveyed his heartfelt tribute to the martyred soldiers. He declared that the sinister intentions of militants would not deter the nation’s pursuit of peace.

 

Interim Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani also voiced strong condemnation for the attack, describing it as “reprehensible.” He extended thoughts and prayers to the families of the martyred soldiers and reiterated Pakistan’s resolute stance against acts of terrorism.

Additionally, the interim Chief Minister of Balochistan, Ali Mardan Khan Domki, added his voice to the chorus of condemnation. He characterized the attack as a cowardly act against soldiers who have committed themselves to safeguarding the lives and property of the people.

Domki also paid his respects to the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice and offered his condolences to their families. He emphasized that such acts of terror would not undermine the hard-won peace achieved through countless sacrifices.
