Sindh CM directed action against medicine hoarders

The culprits who jeopardized the lives of their fellow citizens should be dealt with firmly, CM said.

Karachi, 25 Aug, 2023 (GNP): The interim Chief Minister of Sindh Justice Maqbool Baqar has paid serious attention to the problem of a severe shortage of life-saving medicines from the market and ordered the Department of Public Health to take strict action against the hoarders and ensure the accessibility of all the medicines.

According to the official statement of the CM House, the caretaker chief minister conducted a meeting with interim Health Minister Dr. Saad Niaz, where he discussed this perpetual problem of the society and stressed the need to eliminate the poor-quality medicines from the market.

Moreover, a decision was made in the meeting that said the health department would take serious actions against manufacturers, dealers, and stores involved in producing and selling low-grade medicines.

Furthermore, Justice Baqar demanded that the culprits who jeopardized the lives of their fellow citizens should be dealt with firmly.

Additionally, the caretaker chief minister also conversed over the issues related to dengue and malaria with the health minister. The programmes that aim to deal with both will be boosted shortly. Apart from this, the local governmental body has been highly instructed to initiate anti-mosquito spray drives in their respective areas.
