Riyadh ,19June,2023(GNP): The Saudi government has officially announced the preacher for this year’s Hajj sermon, marking an important moment for Muslims worldwide.
According to Arab media reports, Imam Sheikh Dr. Yusuf bin Muhammad bin Saeed has been appointed to deliver the sermon for the Islamic year 1444. His appointment letter has been issued, signifying his crucial role in guiding and inspiring the pilgrims.
Joining him in this esteemed position is Sheikh Dr. Maher bin Hamad al-Mu’aiqli, who has been designated as the preacher of Al-Masjid al-Haram and will serve as a backup option in case of any emergencies.
Sheikh Dr. Yusuf bin Muhammad bin Saeed, a distinguished scholar, holds the position of professor of faith and contemporary religions at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University.
His educational background includes obtaining a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the College of Fundamentals of Religion in Riyadh. Moreover, he has actively contributed to academia by supervising numerous scientific papers and engaging in scholarly discussions at various universities.
The upcoming sermon, to be delivered on Tuesday, 27th June, by Sheikh Dr. Yusuf, will be broadcast live worldwide, reaching millions of believers. With translations provided in multiple languages.
