Rawalpindi (GNP): Ten militants affiliated with the Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij were killed in separate operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while six soldiers were martyred in a related attack, according to security officials.
Acting on intelligence reports about militant presence, security forces launched an operation in North Waziristan District, engaging the location after receiving confirmation. Following an intense exchange of fire, six militants linked to the Indian-backed group were killed. In a separate clash in Hangu District, troops eliminated four additional militants.
Separately, on September 17, a security forces convoy was struck by an improvised explosive device, resulting in the martyrdom of six soldiers.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who officials said had been actively involved in numerous terrorist attacks in the region.

Clearance operations are continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored militants, as part of Pakistan’s ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” framework, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. Officials said security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to sustaining this campaign at full intensity to root out foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country, adding that the sacrifices made by soldiers reinforce the nation’s resolve to defend itself at any cost.
