LAHORE (GNP): Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) Pakistan, in collaboration with the Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC), successfully hosted the “PVTC Mega Job Fair 2026” at the Expo Centre, Lahore. This flagship initiative brought together industry leaders, recruiters, key government institutions, partner organisations, and skilled youth on a single platform, facilitating direct engagement, career counselling, and on-the-spot hiring. The event aimed to connect PVTC-skilled graduates directly with industry and create immediate employment opportunities for trained youth.
The event was graced by Nadir Chattha, Secretary of the Skills Development & Entrepreneurship Department, Punjab, and Saqib Khan Chadhar, Parliamentary Secretary for the Department, as Chief Guests. They were joined by PVTC Chairman Khalid Masood Chaudhry, MRC Pakistan Project Manager Saad Ur Rehman Khan, and Punjab Vocational Training Council Managing Director Samia Saleem.

More than 100 leading national and multinational companies along Daewoo Pakistan, Atlas Honda, Cakes and Bakes, UniWorth, Machine Zone, Fauji Foundation, FIA, Al-Khidmat Pakistan, Fauji Founation, Golden Girl Cosmetics, Nishat, Lime Light, Considera care, Minhas Pipes. These companies conducted interviews for PVTC graduates trained in Electrical Technology, Auto Mechanics, Information Technology, Textile, Hospitality, Food Processing, Welding, and various other trades.
The Mega Job Fair also featured Overseas Employment Promoters and international recruitment agencies, providing guidance on legal migration pathways and overseas employment opportunities for PVTC graduates.
Their participation strengthened awareness regarding safe and legal employment abroad and expanded global career prospects for skilled Pakistani youth.
By the end of the event, more than 8,000 skilled youth had undergone interviews, while hundreds secured on-the-spot job offers.
A significant highlight of the Job Fair was that nearly two-thirds of the participating companies were already engaged with PVTC trainees through Work-Based Training initiatives, enabling faster, industry-driven, and demand-oriented hiring.
Addressing the participants, Secretary Skills Development & Entrepreneurship, Mr. Nadir Chattha, stated: “PVTC’s Work-Based Training model is bridging the gap between education and industry.
Today, industries themselves are prioritizing PVTC-trained youth for employment.”
Parliamentary Secretary Saqib Khan Chadhar remarked:
“In line with the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab, skilled youth will become the driving force of Punjab’s economy. The collaboration between PVTC and industry is creating dignified employment opportunities for young people.”
Chairman PVTC, Khalid Masood Chaudhry, said: “Our mission is not limited to issuing certificates; our real objective is to ensure dignified employment for every graduate. The strong participation of industries reflects the market relevance and quality of PVTC training.”
Managing Director PVTC, Ms. Samia Saleem, shared that: “PVTC is currently providing free vocational training to approximately 75,000 youth annually in 83 trades across 190 institutes.
More than 82 percent of our graduates secure employment within three months of completing training. By fiscal year 2026-27, our target is to skill and connect 100,000 youth with industry.”

Project Manager MRC Pakistan, Saad ur Rehman Khan, shared that “Migrant Resource Centre Pakistan facilitates informed, safe, and regular migration pathways for Pakistani workers. He shared that MRC Pakistan is serving migrants throughout the full migration cycle by providing pre-departure guidance, awareness on legal migration channels, protection against fraudulent recruitment practices, overseas employment information, and reintegration support for returning migrants.
Separate interview counters for female candidates and a free CV facilitation desk were also established to support job seekers during the event.
This initiative was organized with the support of the European Union and in collaborative partnership with the Migrant Resource Centre Pakistan (MRC Pakistan), reinforcing efforts towards skilled workforce development, legal migration, and sustainable employment pathways.
