Karachi (GNP): Pakistan Romania Business Council (PRBC) was honored to participate in the distinguished tribute event celebrating the remarkable career of Pakistan’s celebrated TV and film superstar, Faysal Quraishi. The event, organized by the Lifestyle Journalists Association, was held at Auditorium 1, Arts Council Karachi.
Representing PRBC, Chairman Sohail Shamim Firpo and Advisor & COO Pakistan Romania Business Council Atif Farooqi attended the evening, joining media professionals, artists, and notable guests in paying tribute to Quraishi’s outstanding contribution to Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
Speaking on the occasion, Atif Farooqi, Advisor & COO PRBC, stated, “Cultural excellence and creative industries play a vital role in strengthening international understanding. Events like these not only celebrate our national talent but also serve as a bridge for deeper people-to-people connections and a stronger foundation for Pakistan–Romania bilateral relations through cultural diplomacy.”
PRBC leadership reiterated that cultural engagement remains an important pillar of soft diplomacy and a meaningful way to project Pakistan’s creative strength on international platforms. The Council also appreciated the organizers for hosting a memorable evening dedicated to one of the country’s most respected artists.
The Pakistan Romania Business Council extends its warm appreciation to the Lifestyle Journalists Association for organizing the tribute and congratulates Faysal Quraishi on his exceptional journey and enduring legacy.
He expressed willingness to explore closer coordination with PRBC to address procedural bottlenecks and provide guidance to incoming investors.
The discussions also referenced the recently signed memorandum of understanding between the Karachi Port Trust and the Constanța Port Authority, which has been widely viewed as a significant step toward enhancing maritime connectivity and trade flows between the two countries.

Pakistan has been actively seeking to diversify its foreign investment base in recent years, with European markets emerging as areas of growing interest. Improved regulatory coordination, such as the initiatives discussed in this meeting, is seen as essential to attracting sustainable investment.
Farooqi described the agreement as a “milestone” that could serve as a catalyst for broader economic cooperation. He also acknowledged the role of Dan Stoenescu, Romania’s Ambassador to Pakistan, in advancing bilateral relations, particularly in facilitating dialogue between public and private sector stakeholders.
Both sides concluded the meeting with an agreement to strengthen collaboration on trade facilitation, investment promotion, and regulatory support.
