President's Trophy Grade II Gold 2026 Semi Finals Begin

The winner of President’s Trophy Grade II Gold 2026 will receive five million Pakistani rupees in prize money along with qualification for the higher tier first class tournament next season. The competition featured 14 teams divided into two groups across the group stage.

In Group A, Kingsmen Academy finished on top, winning five matches and losing only one to collect 40 points. They were led by the brilliant bowling of pacer Mohammad Usman Ghani, who picked up 27 wickets in just four matches. Affan Ishaq was their standout batter, scoring 448 runs at an average of 56 with two centuries in six matches. MIT Solutions finished second with 36 points, winning four matches, losing one, and drawing one, narrowly edging out PHA Rawalpindi by just three points. Test batter Abdullah Shafique was their key performer with 567 runs including two centuries and two fifties, while left arm spinner Mohammad Irfan led their bowling attack.

Group B was topped by Vital Tea with 43 points, as they won five matches and drew one to remain the only completely unbeaten team in the President’s Trophy Grade II Gold 2026 tournament. Left arm fast bowler Mohammad Basit took 33 wickets at an average of 17.67 in five matches, while batter Mohammad Arslan Zia scored 394 runs at an excellent average of 69.24. Kingsmen finished second in Group B, winning three matches and losing just one, with two games ending in a draw. Their top run scorers were Habibullah with 471 runs and Azan Tariq with 467 runs, while spin bowlers Afnan Khan and Umer Khan combined for 45 wickets between them.

Looking at the tournament’s overall batting standings, Hashim Ibrahim led the way with 586 runs for Ghani Institute, followed closely by Abdullah Shafique with 567 runs for MIT Solutions. All of the top ten run scorers in the tournament were right handed batters who each played six matches during the group stage.

On the bowling front, Muhammad Tahir topped the charts with an impressive 42 wickets in just six matches for PHA Rawalpindi, followed by Mohammad Basit with 33 wickets for Vital Tea and Zahid Bashir with 31 wickets for Eshaal Associates.

As the President’s Trophy Grade II Gold 2026 moves into its knockout phase, all four teams will be looking to secure their place in the final and claim a spot in next season’s first class competition, making the upcoming matches some of the most important fixtures in the domestic cricket calendar this year.
