Islamabad (GNP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the government will provide every possible resource and facility to Daanish schools, and reaffirmed its commitment to quality education and to opening new opportunities through artificial intelligence (AI) for students, teachers and young people nationwide.
Speaking at the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Education and Gauth AI, the Prime Minister called the agreement an important step toward widening educational opportunities and welcomed the technology company’s offer of free subscriptions.
He said the first 4,000 subscriptions that Gauth is gifting to Pakistan will help students and teachers use modern educational tools, with 1,000 of them reserved for teachers in the government’s Daanish schools initiative.
The Prime Minister said the government has already given students every possible facility, and described Daanish schools as an outstanding institution that provides free education. Resources, he said, are not in short supply, and the government will give the schools whatever support they need.
Information Technology and Telecommunication Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja said the initiative reflects the Prime Minister’s vision of technology-led development and of improving education through modern digital solutions. She said TikTok has made its AI technology available in Pakistan, and that paid versions of Gauth AI are being launched in the country, which becomes the first after the United States to receive them.
Maria Kohan, ByteDance Ltd’s Regional Director of Global Public Policy, said technology can inspire creativity, open up opportunities and change lives, especially in education. ByteDance, she said, has already contributed to educational awareness through TikTok, including a dedicated STEM feed launched in Pakistan with the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. The launch of Gauth, she added, is another step in the company’s commitment to supporting education through technology.
Gauth is an AI-powered study platform meant to make learning easier, more interactive and more accessible. It provides step-by-step explanations, personalised AI tutoring and interactive study tools that help students understand concepts instead of simply finding answers. Kohan said it already has more than 200 million users worldwide and that the company is pleased to bring it to Pakistan’s young people.

Under the MoU, Gauth will give 4,000 free subscriptions to teachers across the country, including 1,000 for those in the Daanish schools initiative. The subscriptions will give access to AI tools that support teaching and improve students’ learning. Gauth will also provide 180 free subscriptions to local students.
