Payoneer Renews Partnership with Etsy Through 2029

Islamabad (GNP): Payoneer, the global financial technology company supporting cross-border business growth, has announced an extension of its strategic partnership with Etsy, the global marketplace for unique and creative goods, through 2029 — continuing to help Etsy sellers worldwide access their earnings and manage cross-border business operations.

Since the partnership began in 2023, Payoneer and Etsy have helped tens of thousands of sellers receive international payouts and expand their businesses globally. Under the newly renewed three-year agreement, Payoneer will remain a key payments partner for Etsy sellers across 16 markets spanning Asia, Europe, South America, and the Middle East.

For small businesses in these regions, reaching international customers represents a significant growth opportunity, though managing cross-border earnings can still present challenges. Through Payoneer’s integration with Etsy Payments, sellers in these markets have been able to transact securely and smoothly across international borders.

The partnership has proven particularly valuable for sellers operating in volatile markets. Maksym Gopanchuk, founder of Ukraine-based KGUmusic and MG Leather Work — which sells handcrafted leather accessories on Etsy — said that when local conditions can shift overnight, access to global markets and dependable international partners becomes essential to keeping a business moving forward. He noted that while Etsy helps connect his brands with customers across different countries, Payoneer provides the underlying payment infrastructure that makes his international sales possible.

Ya Wen, Senior Vice President of Global Marketplaces at Payoneer, said small businesses are increasingly selling across borders, currencies, and markets, making the financial infrastructure supporting them a critical factor in their success. She described the renewed partnership with Etsy as a reflection of both companies’ shared commitment to helping marketplaces address these cross-border challenges at scale, making it easier for sellers to transact, manage earnings, and grow regardless of where their customers are based.

Megan Oxman, Senior Director of Product at Etsy, said a dependable payments experience is essential to helping sellers around the world grow and succeed, describing Payoneer as a trusted partner that has helped Etsy support sellers across markets with vastly different operational and regulatory environments. She expressed enthusiasm about renewing the partnership and continuing to support sellers as they scale their businesses internationally.

Through Payoneer, eligible Etsy sellers can receive earnings in USD, withdraw funds directly to local bank accounts, and manage balances across more than 70 currencies — giving sellers greater flexibility in how they receive and use their earnings while helping reduce the friction and costs typically associated with moving money across borders.
