Karachi (GNP): FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited (FCEPL) has announced the installation of a 450 kW Solar Photovoltaic (PV) system paired with a 255 kWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at its Nara Dairy Farm facility, marking a significant step toward building a more sustainable industrial operation.
The project, awarded to DSG Energy, represents a strategic investment in clean energy infrastructure aimed at strengthening the facility’s energy resilience, boosting operational efficiency, and accelerating the company’s shift toward a lower-carbon future.
FCEPL CEO and Managing Director Kashan Hasan described the installation as reflective of the company’s forward-looking, energy-conscious approach, noting plans to further expand its solar footprint across both production facilities and dairy farms. He said the initiative embodies the company’s mission of nourishing Pakistan throughout its “Grass to Glass” journey — caring for the environment and communities while continuing to deliver safe, healthy, and nutritious products to millions of families.
By pairing on-site solar generation with advanced battery storage, the system is designed to maximize the use of renewable energy, reduce dependence on conventional fuel-based power, cut energy costs, and provide a more reliable power supply for critical farm operations.
DSG Energy CEO Daniyal Siddiqui said the shift toward clean energy is about more than just generating renewable power — it’s about building intelligent energy systems that deliver reliability, efficiency, and lasting value. He called the Nara Dairy Farm project a meaningful step in that direction and expressed pride in supporting FCEPL’s sustainability efforts.
