Buenos Aires, 20 December 2022 (GNP): Argentina’s captain, Lionel Messi, won the 2022 FIFA World Cup and once again cemented its place in football history. Argentina has now won the FIFA World Cup tournament three times.
Messi has shared stunning pictures of his family and him clutching the trophy on Instagram after their triumph. In addition to that, he posted photos of embracing the trophy while in bed and wrote “Good Morning” in Spanish, using an emoji of a happy face with wide-open eyes; he is seen in one of the photos dozing off while draped on a blanket in his bed.

Following the World Cup victory, the Argentinian team returned home on Tuesday. Messi and his teammates reached Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport, and thousands of spectators lined the streets in anticipation of them, hoping to catch sight of the World Cup trophy.
Messi not only scored twice throughout the game but also in the game’s decisive penalty shootout. In the final game, the GOAT broke a number of records on route to capturing the trophy that had eluded him for most of his entire football career.
The 35-year-old had given the impression that this World Cup would be his final one up until he assisted South America in winning its first title since 1986 and was awarded the FIFA Golden Ball for the tournament’s best player.
Messi confirmed his commitment to playing for Argentina after they won the competition, but he declined to address rumours that he will return to the World Cup, where he has already appeared in more games than any other player.
