Islamabad, 18 March 2023 (GNP): Maya Ali, a renowned Pakistani actress criticised the PDM (Pakistan Democratic Movement) government for raising gas prices across the country.
“Take our life once, this is crazy, and it’s getting out of control” – read the caption of Maya Ali’s post on Instagram. The actress posted a screenshot of the news relating to the price hike in her post addressing Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif.

The public’s reaction was the same as Maya Ali when news was announced that the government raised the price of gasoline by Rs. 5, bringing it to Rs. 272 per litre. This increased public suffering and contributed to severe inflation.
