Lahore (GNP): Infinix made its Infinix GT 50 Pro gaming phone the centrepiece of its presence at the event. The PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) Season 2 wrapped up in Lahore, the first time the tournament has been held in Pakistan. International teams travelled to the city to compete over two days, 24 and 25 October.
Sixteen teams played in the final stage on the second day, and Team Wolves Esports won the title in front of a live audience. Until now, Pakistan’s gaming community has mostly followed the world’s biggest tournaments on screen, but this edition was staged on home soil.
Infinix made its Infinix GT 50 Pro gaming phone the centrepiece of its presence at the event. Buyers of the phone received four tickets, one for themselves and three for others, with VIP seating to watch the matches in person.
Simon Feng, CEO of Infinix Pakistan, said the tournament shows how far the country’s esports community has come. Pakistani gamers have never lacked talent, he said, and the company wants the GT 50 Pro to give them performance to match it. He added that Infinix is proud to be part of the occasion and will continue backing the community behind it.
