New Delhi, 13 February 2023 (GNP): The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) announced on Monday that the location of the third test match between India and Australia had been changed from Dharamsala to Indore due to concerns regarding the condition of the playing field at the original venue.
However, there were concerns about the readiness of the pitch, and the BCCI decided to move the match to the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Indore. The shift was made to ensure a smooth and fair match between the two teams, who will be playing a crucial series of four test matches.
The Indore stadium has hosted several international matches and is known for its good facilities and well-maintained pitch. The change of venue is expected to have minimal impact on the fans, and the match is expected to go ahead as planned.

“Owing to harsh winter conditions in the region, the outfield lacks sufficient grass density and will need some time to develop fully,” stated the BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah.
The shift to Indore is significant as it brings a new venue into the mix, adding to the excitement of the test series. The Holkar Stadium has proven to be a suitable test match venue in the past, and fans will keenly look at how the teams perform on the pitch.
With India holding a 1-0 lead, the pressure will be on Australia to level the series in the upcoming matches. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is a highly anticipated series, and the move to Indore adds to the anticipation for the third test match.
