Quetta, 26 Aug, 2023 (GNP): Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar urged the need for fostering job prospects and livelihood avenues in Balochistan through a well-devised strategy. The prime minister chaired a meeting to assess development projects in the region, reported by the sources. The caretaker chief minister, ministers, and relevant authorities attended the meeting.
In the meeting, Kakar stressed the need to maintain a balanced budget and efficient expenditure mechanism for the future, highlighting the imperative of prudent resource allocation.

Acknowledging Balochistan’s substantial potential in mineral mining, the caretaker PM asserted its pivotal role in driving the nation’s economic growth. He noted the importance of robust communication infrastructure in realizing the full potential of mineral-rich areas.
The chief secretary briefed the prime minister on proposed and ongoing uplift projects in the province. Kakar also chaired a meeting to evaluate the national security situation, particularly in Balochistan. The meeting was attended by caretaker ministers Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, Shahid Ashraf Tarrar, and Sami Saeed.

The interim PM affirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding the country and its citizens, prioritizing public security. He emphasized enhancing the legislative framework to bolster the state’s security response.

He commended the provincial government and law enforcement agencies for upholding law and order in the province.
