Samba, 20 June, 2023 (GNP): A tragic bus accident occurred in Ghagwal of Samba district, Jammu & Kashmir, leaving 19 people injured.
The incident took place in the Samotra Channi area when the driver of the bus lost control, causing the vehicle to skid off the road and fall into a nearby canal. The injured individuals, including two minors and ten females, were reportedly laborers from Chhattisgarh who were en route to Kashmir for employment at a brick kiln.
Upon receiving information about the accident, local residents and the police swiftly responded, rushing to the scene to provide immediate assistance. The injured individuals were promptly transported to the Trauma Centre in Ghagwal, where they received necessary medical attention. Some of the injured were later shifted to the Government Medical College (GMC) in Jammu for further treatment.

The injured individuals have been identified as Mohan Lal (05), Parbati (46), Mansi (19), Rajani (35), Anju (30), Nirmal (17), Rajani (24), Ashok Kumar (45), Haria (20), Ravi (26), Neetu (21), Rajbir, Munnu (18), Rakhi (05), and Shiv Kumar (42). Meanwhile, Rukmani (24), Kiran (20), Sunita (40), and Hima were referred to the Govt Medical College (GMC) in Jammu for specialized care.
