New Delhi, 16 February 2023 (GNP):Deep Sidhu, a Punjabi actor and activist who came to fame after the Red Fort violence during the farmers’ march on Republic Day of last year, passed away on Tuesday night in a car accident on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) route close to Sonepat.
The DSP for law and order in Sonepat, Virender Singh, verified that Sidhu passed away as a result of his car slamming into a truck’s back end.

According to the police, Sidhu and his friend, a Punjabi actress, were travelling to Punjab in a Scorpio when the incident was reported at around 9 p.m. near the Peepli toll booth on the KMP in Haryana’s Kharkhoda area.
According to a senior police officer, the car struck a truck that was stopped on the side of the road and had broken down. The driving side took the brunt of the force from the Scorpio.
At the moment, Deep Sidhu was driving the vehicle. His acquaintance was injured, and he was sent to a neighboring hospital for evaluation. He is in stable condition, a policeman added. Sidhu was sent to a neighboring hospital and pronounced dead there. His body was sent to the Kharkhoda city hospital.

After last year’s Republic Day farmers’ demonstration in the nation’s capital descended into violence, Delhi Police filed 25 FIRs against demonstrators and leaders of farm unions for allegedly storming the Red Fort and damaging property.
