Biden and Xi Jinping to address trade and diplomatic challenges

California, 10 November, 2023, (GNP): In a significant diplomatic development, United States President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping are set to engage in a crucial meeting on Wednesday in California.

This marks the first face-to-face discussion between the leaders of the world’s two largest economies in a year.

The agenda for this pivotal encounter includes discussions on trade relations, the sensitive topic of Taiwan, and efforts to navigate and improve the overall dynamics of their relationship.

The White House has officially confirmed the meeting, highlighting its importance in addressing key issues affecting not only the U.S. and China but also global economic and geopolitical stability.

It also added that initially the two leader, Biden and Xi  Jinping, were expected to meet on the sidelines of APEC summit scheduled for in San Francisco. But negotiations were not frutiful.

Whereas, Chinese foreign ministry released a statement saying that President Xi would attend the APEC summit from 17th November on Biden’s administration, and take part in US-China summit.

Both leaders are expected to explore common ground and seek constructive solutions to enhance cooperation, fostering a spirit of dialogue amidst the challenges that have defined their recent interactions.
