Kirtipur, 16 March 2023(GNP): In the UAE’s crushing 310/6 total against Nepal in their Cricket World Cup League 2 match at Kirtipur, Asif reached his century in just 41 deliveries.
Asif was in full swing as soon as he walked out to bat in the 38th over. He replaced Vriitya Aravind, who was superbly leading UAE’s innings, at the change.

In his knock, Asif pounded out 4 fours and 11 sixes. With the visitors giving the hosts a target of 311 in the crucial match, Nepal, who had hoped to keep UAE to a low score, had to watch their methodical bowling efforts crumble in the face of a rampaging Asif.
Asif’s innings is now the fourth-fastest ton in Men’s ODI cricket history, trailing only AB de Villiers (31), Corey Anderson (36) and Shahid Afridi (37).
