Antwerp, GNP: Ambassador of Pakistan to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg, H.E. Rahim Hayat Qureshi, held an interactive session with members of the Pakistani community in Antwerp, engaging with community leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, students, youth representatives, and families.
The meeting was part of the Embassy’s ongoing outreach efforts to strengthen ties with overseas Pakistanis and enhance engagement between Pakistan and its diaspora community.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Qureshi appreciated the valuable contributions of the Pakistani community towards Belgium’s socio-economic development and their role in promoting a positive image of Pakistan abroad.
He highlighted that overseas Pakistanis remain an important national asset and act as ambassadors of Pakistan through their professional achievements, cultural engagement, and community leadership.
The Ambassador emphasized the importance of strengthening Pakistan–Europe relations through active participation of the diaspora community. He particularly encouraged the younger generation to contribute through education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and cultural diplomacy.
During the interaction, community members shared views on consular services, welfare matters, youth engagement, business connectivity, and ways to further expand Pakistan’s outreach in Belgium.
Ambassador Qureshi assured participants that the Embassy remains committed to providing effective consular services and maintaining close coordination with the Pakistani community to address matters of mutual interest.
The participants appreciated the Embassy’s efforts and welcomed the opportunity for direct dialogue with the Ambassador.
