Toronto, 6 March 2023 (GNP): Veteran TV actor, Qavi Khan has passed away at the age of eighty due to prolonged illness in Canada where he was admitted for his treatment however, he breathed his last yesterday.
Young Qavi Khan began his professional life at Radio Pakistan Peshawar. He later became a television celebrity from there and travelled to Pakistan. He was one of the few performers who saw the demise of the film business firsthand after beginning his career in PTV and Lollywood films in 1964.

His acting credits include Fishar, Andhera Ujala, Lahore Gate, Mutthi Bhar Mitti, Cinderella, Betiyan, and Dure Shahwar, among countless more. Furthermore, he carved out a unique position for himself in Pakistani cinema, appearing in titles like Muhabbat Zindagi Hai, Chand Suraj, Sarfrosh, Kalay Chor, Zameen Aasman, and Pari. His every performance captivated the viewers.
Qavi Khan’s death is a great loss for the country and its entertainment industry. Celebrities and other personalities have spoken out after hearing the news of his passing. Imran Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) took to Twitter to post his tribute to the veteran actor:
