Pakistan’s Prime Minister and Qatari Amir Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif traveled to Qatar on official visit and he met with Amir of Qatar and discussed the ways to enhance bilateral relationship and cooperation.

Doha, 6 March 2023 (GNP): Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, meets the Amir of the state of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on the sidelines of 5th United Nations Least Developed Countries (LDCs) Conference.

Sheikh Tamim ibn Hamad Al Thani, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to continuing to assist Pakistan in pursuing its development goals.

During a meeting on Sunday in Doha, he welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and reaffirmed this resolve.

The Amir also emphasised Qatar’s strong desire to strengthen its economic ties with Pakistan.

Also, they discussed ways to advance their ongoing cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar in all areas, including commerce and investment, as well as other bilateral issues.

The Amir also praised the contributions made by Pakistanis to the development of Qatar, particularly the work of Pakistani security personnel in ensuring the FIFA World Cup 2022 was a success.
