Indore, 3 March 2023 (GNP): Australia defeated India by nine wickets in the 3rd test, to advance to the World Test Championship Final.
India has a 2-1 lead in the four-match Test series after scoring significant victories in the opening two games.
After bowling India out for 109 on the first day of the third Test, Australia took control and eventually built an 88-run advantage in the first innings.

Then, in the second innings, off-spinner Nathan Lyon took 8-64 to give his team a comfortable chase.
Australia just needed 76 runs on Friday at Holkar Cricket Stadium, and they achieved that goal before lunch, cutting India’s lead in the four-match series to 2-1.
The World Test Championship final will take place, at Oval in London, between 7 and 11 June.
Australia will compete against either India or Sri Lanka.
India will be guaranteed a spot, if they defeat Australia in the fourth and final Test, scheduled on March 9 in Ahmedabad of the ongoing Test series.
However, a draw or win, for Sri Lanka against New Zealand in their two-match Test series, starting from 8 March, would see Sri Lanka qualify instead.
