Air Busan flight BX3795, carrying over 210 passengers, touched down in Xiamen City, east China’s Fujian Province, on Sunday morning, marking the official launch of the first direct round-trip route between Xiamen and Busan, the Republic of Korea (ROK).
This route is a charter service for South Korean tour groups, scheduled to operate from January 4 to March 1, with four flights each week. The flight travels between Gimhae International Airport in Busan and Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport in Xiamen in about 1 hour and 50 minutes.
Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport already has 28 weekly flights to Seoul, the capital of ROK. The opening of this new route will further increase air capacity, promote local tourism consumption in Xiamen, and facilitate trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
