Islamabad (GNP): Zong, which describes itself as Pakistan’s leading technology services enterprise, took four awards in the telecommunications category at the Asian Innovation Excellence Awards 2026, held in Singapore on 20 October. The company said the wins reflect its ability to turn advanced technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and home-grown engineering into practical results for customers, business partners and Pakistan’s digital ecosystem.
Zong was named Pakistan Brand Innovation of the Year for “AIsa Hai Future,” the campaign behind its AI-powered 5G launch. The campaign combined artificial and augmented intelligence with Pakistani creativity to present a customer-focused vision of the country’s digital future. It departed from conventional telecom advertising by using AI as both the creative tool and the core message. According to Zong, it helped narrow the brand equity gap, reach parity in unaided 5G brand association, and improve the brand’s distinctiveness and memorability.
Pakistan Technology Innovation of the Year went to Zong’s AI-driven Self-Intelligent Radio Access Network (RAN) Optimization platform, which moves the company toward autonomous, AI-enabled network operations. Built in-house, the platform automatically detects congestion, decides on and applies corrective action, and checks the results. This speeds up problem resolution and improves network responsiveness, especially at times of heavy demand, giving customers a more consistent and reliable experience.
Zong won Pakistan Consumer Service Innovation of the Year for “My5 – Family Sharing Package.” Built around households’ changing connectivity needs, My5 offers flexible family connectivity along with added benefits such as embedded insurance, lifestyle perks and digital streaming access. By combining connectivity with these extras, it gives families more flexibility, convenience and value, and can serve as an alternative to traditional home broadband.
DI-CAPE, Zong’s digital commission governance engine, won Pakistan Financial Innovation of the Year. Using intelligent automation, the platform strengthens business governance, makes processes more efficient and transparent, and supports partners across Zong’s distribution network. The award, the company said, shows how digital innovation can add value beyond the customer-facing side of the business.
Nabila Yazdani, Zong’s Head of Strategy and company spokesperson, said the four wins validate Zong’s technology leadership and its effort to turn 5G, AI and home-grown digital innovation into real impact. She pointed to AI-driven network intelligence, customer-centric connectivity, transparent business processes and a distinctive 5G brand promise as examples of innovation producing tangible value for customers, partners and society. The wins, she added, reflect the company’s focus on delivering an ultimate customer experience while advancing Pakistan’s digital transformation.

In line with its “Aisa Hai Future” brand promise, Zong said it will keep pursuing three priorities: Ultimate Customer Experience, a Diversified Products and Services Portfolio, and AI Enablement. Through continued investment in 5G, AI, digital platforms and in-house technical skills, it aims to build smarter networks, more efficient operations and new digital experiences for customers and partners, contributing to a more connected, inclusive and future-ready Digital Pakistan.
