ZAMO’S, A Solo Exhibition by Zamar Shahid Opens at PNCA

Islamabad (GNP): Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) is pleased to present ZAMO’S, a solo exhibition by emerging visual artist Zamar Shahid at Gallery no 6, National Art Gallery.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, he was accompanied by Muhammad Ayoub Jamali, Director General of PNCA along with a large number of artists, students, and distinguished guests.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest appreciated the creative vision and technical excellence reflected in the artworks of Zamar Shahid. He stated that young artists like her are playing an important role in promoting Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage through contemporary artistic expression. He further emphasized that PNCA will continue to support emerging artists and provide platforms that encourage innovation, creativity, and cultural dialogue.

The exhibition showcases a compelling body of work that reflects the artist’s exploration of tradition, innovation, and cultural identity. Originally from Balochistan, Zamar Shahid is a Fine Arts graduate from BUITEMS and is recognized for blending the aesthetics of classical miniature painting with contemporary artistic experimentation.

Over the years, Zamar Shahid’s work has been exhibited at national and international platforms, earning appreciation for its originality and artistic vision. She is the recipient of the Maymar-e-Watan Award and has also been awarded an Active Citizenship Certificate by the British Council. Through her creative practice, she continues to encourage cultural dialogue and inspire young women pursuing careers in the arts.

The exhibition will remain open to the public until 14th May 2026, with visiting hours from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.

The inauguration ceremony was held at Gallery # 6, PNCA, National Art Gallery, Islamabad, in the presence of artists, art enthusiasts, and members of the cultural community.
