Islamabad, 3 Aug, 2023 (GNP): YouTube has begun its premium and music services in Pakistan on Wednesday. It allows the users to watch videos undisturbed by advertisements, even when using other applications or when the screen has locked, download videos for offline play, and enjoy music without disturbance.
The video-sharing company said in a statement, “YouTube Premium offers the ultimate viewing experience on YouTube.”
The new service also comprises YouTube Music Premium, which provides ad-free music, background play, and downloads on YouTube Music.

YouTube Premium will be accessible for Rs479 and contains membership to YouTube Music Premium, meanwhile presenting an ad-free experience with offline download and background play for millions of videos on the platform of YouTube.
Moreover, the users can also join the Premium Family Plan available from Rs899, which lets them share Premium membership with five or more of their family members.
Furthermore, YouTube Music Premium is attainable from Rs299 and gives ad-free music, downloads, and background play on YouTube Music. Music Premium Family Plan is available from Rs479.

Additionally, the students can register for the Premium Student Plan, which is available for Rs329, and the Music Premium Student Plan for Rs149 on the Android or web.
Google’s country head for Pakistan Farhan Qureshi stated the figure of YouTube channels in Pakistan with above one million subscribers has soared 35 percent from last year to 400. However, the total sum of channels with over 100,000 subscribers is now placed at 6,000, which is an annual increase of more than 30 percent.
