Menlo Park , 8 March 2023 (GNP): WhatsApp has announced a new feature that will be released soon on the app.
According to sources, the feature will be found in the app’s settings, and if turned on, calls from unidentified numbers will always be muted but will still appear in the calls list and notification center.
The messaging app stated that the new function will dramatically reduce spam calls for users. With scammers’ unauthoriZed calls, spam calls have grown to be a significant issue in recent years.

Users can finally stop receiving calls from unknown numbers by muting them thanks to WhatsApp’s feature, which gives them the option to block and report these callers. Unknown numbers are frequently linked to spam calls.
This feature that will allow users to block incoming calls from unknown numbers is currently being worked on and will be deployed in a future app update.
