Cricketer Muhammad Nawaz tests positive for COVID-19


Cricketer Muhammad Nawaz has tested positive for covid-19 and has been quarantined under the Covid-19, protocols, said, PCB.

 Nawaz was part of the T-20 and the ODI squads for Pakistan’s upcoming home series against New Zealand starting Sep-17.

PCB however did not clarify about the quarantined cricketer. According to PCB, Nawaz has tested positive during the second round of testing in Islamabad.

 It added that all other squad members tested negative and the national side will hold a training session as per schedule today at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

New Zealand will kick off with 3ODIs at the Rawalpindi stadium and 5-T-20s scheduled to take place from Sep 25 to October 3.

 New Zealand is the first side to visit Pakistan will be a bumper season for the local cricket. England’s men and women sides will play T-20 International in Karachi.

 West Indies are also expected to arrive in December. Australia then scheduled to undertake full tour in February-March.
