Pakistan doesn’t recognize “elections” in occupied Nagorno-Karabakh

11th April 2020 (GNP): According to the embassy of Azerbaijan, The Presidential and parliamentary elections were held on 31st March 2020 in Nagorno Karabakh occupied territory of Azerbaijan that was a violation of international norms according to spokespersons Aisha Farooqui. She added that it is a breach of international law and UN security council resolution.
The dispute between the two South Caucasus countries started in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims upon Azerbaijan. As a consequence of the war, Armenian armed troops seized 20 percent of Azerbaijan, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven neighboring districts (GNP).
